  • Frobel Academy launches teachers' training courses

    Frobel Academy inaugurated the Pre-Primary and Primary Teachers' Training Course (PPTC) in association with Sunderji's Institutions at Theatre Institute, Chittagong on April 21, 2018. The panel discussions focused on bringing inclusive education to mainstream classrooms by integrating special needs for children and development of teachers' training courses to give professional opportunities to teachers. Director of Frobel Academy, Huwra Zohair, stressed to reform education and urged schools to come together under one platform and work together.

  • CMED Health from UIU AIMS Lab wins Seedstar Innovation Prize in Switzerland

    CMED Health, the Dhaka-based preventive healthcare startup, has won the Innovation Prize by TAG Heuer at Seedstars Summit 2018 in Switzerland. This is the first time a startup from Bangladesh has won at a Seedstars competition. CMED Health initiative is a research outcome of Advanced Intelligent Multidisciplinary Systems Lab (AIMS Lab) of United International University (UIU), which is a great example of research commercialisation from academia to industry in Bangladesh.

  • DIU signs MoU with Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission to strengthen education and research

    Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) for cooperation and strengthening education and research in the field of nuclear science and engineering and related programmes. In this regard, an MoU signing ceremony was held on April 25, 2018 at the conference room of BAEC.

  • ULAB hosts 4th DEH Inter-University Student Conference and Cultural Competition

    The Department of English and Humanities (DEH) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held its 4th Inter-University Student Conference and Cultural Competition on April 21-22, 2018 to commemorate 200 years of the Brontë siblings - Charlotte, Emily, Anne, and Branwell. The event featured student representatives from eleven public and private universities. Dr. Sohana Manzoor, Assistant Professor at DEH was the Convener of the event.

  • Architecture Department of AIUB holds student design competition

    On April 5, 2018 the Architecture Department of American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) organised an intra-department design competition titled “Probhabok”. A good number of students participated in this competition. Later, on April 17, VC of AIUB Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna in presence of Department Head M. Arefeen Ibrahim and other teachers gave away prizes to the winners in a ceremony.
