Amidst Star Cineplex's alleged inclination towards showcasing foreign films over Bengali films, which has garnered severe criticism from the artiste community and audiences alike, the director asked for his film to be withdrawn from Star Cineplex.
The controversy has escalated with the abrupt replacement of these local hits with foreign movies, despite the scheduled release of new Bengali films like "Shyama Kabya" and "Dead Body".
Directed by Hollywood producer David Leitch, the film will be internationally released on May 3. However, On May 1, the film will be released in Star Cineplex, allowing Bangladeshi audiences to watch it before many other countries including the United States and Canada.
