Science Exhibition 2019 at BRAC University

The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of BRAC University in collaboration with BRAC University Natural Sciences Club (BUNSC) held a project showcasing competition for college and university students recently.  BUNSC is the departmental club that aims to engage, encourage, and motivate people to enhance their knowledge in different fields of science.

The competition was organised in an inter-institutional level. 23 teams participated in the final round of the exhibition. Some of the participating institutions were Bangladesh International School and College, Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Dhaka Imperial College, University ofDhaka, American International University Bangladesh, Independent University Bangladesh and the host, BRAC University.

The exhibition was arranged in three rounds. The first round involved abstract submission of the respective projects from the participating groups. It received a positive response from the young scientists across the nation. The second round entailed an oral presentation of the selected contestants. This included a proper presentation by the team providing an overview of their submitted project. Students were judged on their promptness and interaction skills. The top contenders were selected from the first two rounds who further exhibited their projects in the final round of the competition.
