Expressing disappointment over today’s Supreme Court verdict, son of war criminal Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed said his family has been deprived of justice.

Although no direct allegation was brought against Mojaheed in connection with the killings, the court sentenced him to death, Ali Ahmed Mabrur said. “My family has been deprived of justice”.

Ali was talking to reporters after the SC rejected his father’s appeals for reviewing its judgment upholding death penalty passed earlier.

Asked about the mercy petition, Ali said, “We can confirm it within a day or two if the government allows us to meet with him (Mojaheed).”
