‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation' premieres in Kolkata

The film “Mujib: The Making of a Nation,” which chronicles the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was screened at Nandan yesterday (June 7), a traditional cultural center in Kolkata. This film is a joint production of India-Bangladesh.

A press conference was held today at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) to announce the screening of the biopic “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” across 160 upazilas of Bangladesh. This joint venture production of the Bangladesh and Indian governments has been directed by renowned filmmaker Shyam Benegal.

22nd DIFF / Dhaka Int’l Film Festival kicks off today, ‘Mujib’ and ‘Fereshteh’ to be screened for free

The 22nd Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) officially kicks off today, featuring a lineup of around 250 films from 74 countries, including Bangladesh. The festival, spanning nine days from January 20 to January 28, will showcase 71 films from Bangladesh. Notably, the films “Mujib: The Making of a Nation” and “Fereshteh” will be available for viewing at the festival free of charge.

Previously, a special screening of the movie took place at the National Museum of Indian Cinema's theater in Mumbai, where Bollywood celebrities along with Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah praised the actor for his performance.
