After a long hiatus, Coke Studio Bangla has finally returned, and it couldn’t have chosen a more fitting comeback than “Baaji”. The release not only marks the revival of the popular platform but also reunites fans with the magical duo of Hashim Mahmud and Emon Chowdhury.
“Coke Studio Bangla” has released its latest track, “Baaji”, a powerful fusion of urban folk and indigenous musical traditions that highlights the rich cultural diversity of Bangladesh. As the fourth track of Season 3, it highlights the platform’s growing influence in representing Bangladeshi culture.
Nearly two years later, Mahmud is making a comeback with a new track. This time, along with writing and composing, he will also be singing. The song, titled “Baaji”, is set to premiere today on “Coke Studio Bangla’s” YouTube channel.
Dola, who captured hearts last Eid with “Chand Mama”, returns this time with a gentle, heartfelt rendition. “It feels truly special to be part of such a timeless song,” she said. “‘Shopno Jabe Bari’ resonates deeply with so many people because it reminds them of going home to their loved ones. Until now, we’ve always seen it from a male perspective. This time, it’s told and heard from a woman’s point of view, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been chosen to lend my voice to something so emotionally powerful.”
