Party gets permission to hold rally at Suhrawardy Udyan today on 26 conditions
Dhaka Metropolitan Police yesterday denied BNP permission to hold its grand rally in front of its Nayapaltan headquarters or at the Suhrawardy Udyan on the grounds of public suffering on a working day.
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) said it would announce its decision on whether BNP can hold a rally at Golapbagh field in the capital tomorrow only after receiving an application from the party.
The Golapbagh field in the capital's Dhalpur area, which will be the venue for BNP's is going to hold its Dhaka divisional rally tomorrow, is under the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and located near Kamalapur stadium.
The BNP has got verbal permission from the authorities to hold its December-10 rally at Golapbagh field in Dhaka.
The BNP is no longer hell bent on holding its December 10 rally at Nayapaltan and it wants to avoid confrontation with the government over the venue.
