THE SECOND PHASE
Ideas aren't that precious. We come up with a good idea every time we visit the washroom, but when you stop to think how many of these ideas we act on, the answer is often depressing. You'll be told by a lot of people that all you need to pull yourself out of this rut is simply willpower, a “can-do attitude”, and to just stop being lazy. While that may be true in some cases, like most things, it's not that simple most of the time.
Motivation comes at a price much higher than words. If you have lacked motivation for some time now, the problem is probably more personal than many would want to admit. The human mind needs a combination of catalysts to get itself moving when it's at rest. While some of those catalysts may be psychological, many of them are related to the condition of people and things that surround you in the physical space. It's difficult to admit when things like these are wrong with our lives but often times, these are what hold us back.
We have enough resources around these days to arm us with the knowledge to realise most of our crazy ideas. This week's cover story is one such resource. It's important that we do our best to make most of these resources as the world waits for us to weave our magic.
