Road crashes kill four, injure two
Four people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in the country on Sunday and yesterday.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent reports, a motorcyclist was killed when an oncoming truck hit his motorbike at Egaromile village in Boda upazila in Panchagarh on Sunday.
The victim is Azizur Rahman, 30, of Panchagarh.
Our Barisal correspondent adds, a pedestrian was killed and two others injured after a truck carrying sacks of onion overturned and fell on them at Gournadi after a tyre went flat on Barisal-Dhaka highway in Barisal yesterday.
The deceased, Shahjahan Majhi, 55, was a local leader of Zaker Party. Injured Hafizul Sardar and Selina Aktar are undergoing treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
Our Chittagong correspondent reports, Md Shafi, 27, of Fatikchhari upazila, was killed as a truck rammed his motorbike in Andaman Market area of the upazila in Chittagong yesterday.
The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College morgue for an autopsy.
Our Brahmanbaria correspondent adds, Abdur Rashid Mia, 52, died after a tractor hit him from behind on Comilla-Sylhet highway of Sultanpur village in Sadar upazila yesterday.
