He went to the stadium to receive his father’s body, leaving his mother, who is battling for life at a hospital. Afsana Khanam is now on life support at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar after suffering a stroke at her Uttara residence yesterday.

Tamjid received his father’s body after attending the namaz-e-janaza of the 23 dead Bangladeshis held at the Army Stadium this afternoon. Later the bodies were handed over to the respective families.

From there he took his father to the Banani Military Graveyard to lay him to his eternal rest.
