PM asked law enforcers to arrest Barguna killers: Quader
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the law enforcement agencies to arrest the killers of Rifat Sharif, who was hacked to death in Barguna on Wednesday.
“It’s a sad incident, it’s a brutal killing. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the law enforcement agencies to arrest the killers at any cost,” he told a press conference at the secretariat in Dhaka.
Quader, also Awami League general secretary, said one of the accused has already been arrested and drives are going on to arrest others.
Rifat, 23, was hacked indiscriminately by a group of miscreants in front of his wife in broad daylight on the premises of Barguna Government College. He died on the way to hospital.
