Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said departmental action will be taken against the two staff of the ministry, who were arrested by detectives yesterday.

“There are definitely specific allegations against them. If it is proved, they will be punished,” the minister told reporters at his ministry office.

Detectives arrested Nasiruddin, upper division staff of the ministry, in Gulshan area with Tk 1.3 lakh in his possession yesterday. They arrested Motaleb Hossain, personal officer of the minister, at Basila area following information gleaned from Nasiruddin.
