Fire at Gulshan Plaza doused

Fire broke out at a market in Dhaka’s Gulshan area this evening. It was doused within an hour without any report of casualty.

The fire initiated at Gulshan Plaza around 7:25pm, according to control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

Five units of firefighters worked to douse the blaze, officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique told The Daily Star.

Fire service headquarters said, the fire was doused around 8:35pm. There has been no report of casualty.

The cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately. Losses were yet to be calculated.
