Audiences will now have the opportunity to enjoy renowned stage plays such as Prachyanat's “Circus Circus”, Aranyak's “Mayur Singhasan”, “Kohe Facebook”, “Jibon Songketer Jyoti Songhita”, and Ethika's “Neta Je Rate Nihoto Holen” on the platform. A new stage play will premiere every week.

Mamunur Rashid played a significant role in the post-independence stage movement in Bangladesh. Some of his notable stage dramas include “Ora Kodom Ali”, “Gandharva Nagari”, “Che'r Cycle”, “Sankranti”, “Rarang”, “Target Platoon”, “Iblish”, and more. He has also written numerous dramas for television. Mamunur Rashid continues to act regularly in stage, television, and film productions.

11th 'Bangla Khayal Utsab' to begin in honour of Ustad Azad Rahman

The festival, featuring renowned classical ‘khayal’ musicians and more than 100 child artistes, will be taking place at the Channel i premises in Tejgaon from Wednesday evening (January 31) at 5:10pm to Thursday morning (February 1) at 9:00am. Additionally, Anonna Ruma is set to host the festival.

Today on Victory Day, marking the country's 53rd year of independence, both state-owned and private television channels will air special programmes underscoring the importance of the Liberation War and the subsequent independence of the country.

25 years of ‘Hothat Brishti’ celebrated at Channel i’s office

As the clock ticks away, marking a quarter-century since the release of the enchanting romantic film "Hothat Brishti" (Sudden Rain), directed by the legendary Basu Chatterjee and produced through a collaborative effort between Bangladesh and India, a special event unfolded under the vibrant banner of Channel i on Saturday. The celebration featured melodic tunes, engaging discussions, and heartfelt reflections, encapsulating the spirit of this beloved cinematic creation.

Himu's Janaza to be held at Channel i courtyard, burial in Laxmipur

According to the association’s decision, Homayra's Janaza (funeral prayer) will be held at the Channel i courtyard in the capital city after the Jummah prayer today (November 3). This solemn occasion will allow her colleagues and the industry as a whole to pay their respects to the departed artiste. Following the prayer, Homayra will be laid to rest near Laxmipur, marking her final journey.

Bangladesh National Film Award recipient Shujeo Shyam, who is also an artiste at the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the award ceremony.

Justin Trudeau wishes Channel i on anniversary

Satellite and cable television, Channel i turns 25 today, on the occasion of which, the channel has organised various programmes. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wished the channel on its birthday from another part of the world.

The competition’s activities begun last December, starting with the registration.The programme is currently on the shooting phase of the grand audition.
