Remembering March 26

March 26 is a day of immense significance for all Bangladeshis. It was on this day in 1971, history was created by declaring the independence of this country. It was a nine-month bloody war after which we gained independence in exchange for the loss of many lives. On this glorious day, we should all promise to shun self-destructive politics and work together to build the golden Bengal that we dreamt of during the Liberation War.
