Ireland elect to bat against Tigers in second T20 WC warm-up match
Ireland have won the toss and elected to bat against Bangladesh in the Tigers' second and final official warm-up game at the Tolerance Oval in Abu Dhabi today.
Bangladesh, who lost their first official warm-up game against Sri Lanka by four wickets last Tuesday at the same venue, will look to get some winning momentum ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Regular T20I skipper Mahmudullah Riyad, who has been nursing a slight back pain and missed the game against Sri Lanka, has also been rested for today's game as well. However, the team management insisted that Mahmudullah's injury is nothing to be 'concerned about' and that he is expected to lead the Tigers when they face Scotland on October 17 in the qualifier stage of the T20 World Cup.
