France coach Didier Deschamps insisted there was no rivalry between stars Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
The pair have been in fine form recently and had led the line as France marched to the World Cup in 2018. They are now contenders for this year's Ballon d'Or, but Deschamps insists there is no rivalry there.
"No, there has never been any contradiction between them or one who wants to do more than the other one," Deschamps told a news conference.
"They have been important, one after the other at a different time and also sometimes together.
"They are determining as they score goals and make a lot of goals. There is no struggle between them.
"The fact they are both here with us, but not only them because there are other players, but it's a strong power for France."
'My best year, with or without Ballon d'Or'

Luka Modric feels 2018 has been the best year of his career even if he does not win the Ballon d'Or.
Modric's fine performances at the World Cup earned him the Golden Ball, while he won a third consecutive Champions League crown with Real Madrid earlier in the year. However, Modric was not interested in the debate of whether he could break the Cristiano Ronaldo-Lionel Messi duopoly of the award.
"Let's see what happens," Modric said after Croatia's 3-2 Nations League defeat of Spain. "I'm very proud to fight for it. If I win perfect, otherwise it will not change anything.
"With or without the Ballon d'Or, it's the best year of my career."
