PM awards U-15 boys
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday accorded a reception to the winning squad of the SAFF U-15 Championship at the Ganabhaban yesterday.
The boys received Tk 4 lakh each while officials received Tk 2 lakh each.
The boys had beaten Pakistan 3-2 in tiebreaker after regulation time ended in 1-1 in Kathmandu.
A few days ago the PM had awarded female booters who won the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers Tk 10 lakh each.

Semis of Junior Tennis held
In the boys singles semifinals of the Walton 32nd Bangladesh International Junior Tennis competition, Aaryan Zaveri of India overcame countryman Uddayvir Singh 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 while Kushan Shah of India thrashed Wenmao Li of China 6-0, 6-0 at the National Tennis Complex yesterday.
In the girls singles semifinals Yifan Sun of China beat compatriot Tianmi Mi 6-4, 6-1 while Xiaoyan Xue of China reached the final beating Ishita Singh of India 6-4, 6-2. -- Sports Reporter
Dhaka Ekadosh seal series
A Bangladesh women's hockey team, playing under the banner Dhaka Ekadosh, sealed a three-match series against Kolkata Warriors with a 3-0 win in the second match yesterday.
Ferdous Joyoti scored the opener in the sixth minute before Nadira, and Namita Karmakar scored. The hosts had won the first game 2-0 the previous day.
