Imam injury overshadows Pak leveller
Pakistan beat New Zealand by six wickets in the second ODI in Abu Dhabi yesterday to level the three-match series. The match was overshadowed by an injury to opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq who was taken to hospital after being hit by a short ball from Lockie Ferguson.
New Zealand scored 209 for nine after choosing to bat first and Pakistan, riding on opener Fakhar Zaman's run-a-ball 88 and a 101-run third-wicket stand with Babar Azam after Imam retired hurt in the 13th over, reached the target with six wickets and 57 balls to spare.
Imam, on 16, was hit by a short delivery on the grille of his helmet, making him dizzy before he was taken to hospital in an ambulance. Team management said Imam will undergo CT scans and will be monitored for the next 48 hours.
Earlier, pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi recorded his career best bowling figures of four for 38 to trump veteran Kiwi batsman Ross Taylor's unbeaten 86.

Neymar's €375,000 clapping bonus
A France 2 documentary has lifted the lid on some of PSG's more eye-catching agreements with their star players, including a 'behavior bonus' awarded for following a series of instructions that includes applauding fans after each fixture.
Neymar's bonus for adhering to club policy stands at 375,000 euros, according to the France 2 documentary, while Thiago Silva pockets a more modest 33,00 euros.
PSG responded to the report by pointing out that the policy involves more than just clapping towards supporters with factors such as punctuality, respect towards journalists and reporters and not betting on competitions in which PSG are involved.
Another report from Football Leaks about Cristiano Ronaldo claimed that: "Such is the obsession of the Portuguese to keep his private life secret, that his staff are forbidden to say anything 'up to 70 years after the death of Ronaldo or the last of his relatives'."
