Madrid coaches bring expertise to BD’s underprivileged
The three-day event, YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic (AKFC), ended today with their final session at the Fortis Sports Ground in Dhaka today. The sole aim of the event, the 13th edition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative taken by YKK Holding Asia (YHA) in collaboration with Real Madrid Foundation (RMF), is to support the healthy growth of underprivileged children through football clinics.
This is the second time that this event has been arranged by YHA in the capital and fourth time overall in Bangladesh. The event that started on October 17, has enabled 300 underprivileged children from six different NGOs alongside 30 local coaches to learn about world-class training methodologies, techniques and acquire footballing tips and basics from three RMF coaches -- Carlos Gustavo Albert Garcia, Javier Garcia Torres and Hector Vicente -- over three days of fun and interactive training sessions.
“We are working hard every year in different countries to promote this beautiful sport. Our aim is to help those underprivileged children, to help those people who cannot afford this knowledge and cannot afford this way of life to make their life better through football.” said RMF head coach Carlos during a press conference held at a hotel in the capital today.
YKK provided each participants with a certificate of participation and a medal alongside football jerseys and boots to give the children a once in a lifetime experience.
