BD A in a spot of bother
Bangladesh A team were in a spot of bother against their Afghanistan counterparts after they ended the third day of the first four-day game on 170 for nine in their second innings at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna yesterday.
The home side are leading by 166 runs with just one wicket remaining. Resuming the day on 135 for five, Afghanistan A managed to take a first-innings lead of four runs before being bundled out for 257.
Qias Ahmed top-scored with an unbeaten 46 while Kamrul Islam, Sunzamul Islam and Tanbir Hayder took three wickets each for the home side.
In reply, Bangladesh A kept losing wickets, with Afif Hossain’s 41 being the top score for the home side. Qais was instrumental with the ball too, bagging three wickets alongside three from Yamin Ahmadzali as the visitors roared back.
