The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is all set to send the team to participate in the upcoming Asian Cricket Council Emerging Cup tournament, which is to be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
There were questions over whether the team would be sent to Pakistan due to security concerns but the decision was finalised during the recent Asian Cricket Council meeting in Lahore.
In that meeting, Nazmul Hasan was named as the new president of the ACC.
“Our team will take part in the Emerging Cup and our first round games will take place in Pakistan. The tournament is jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka and we are hoping that we will send our team by the first week of December,” BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told reporters yesterday.
According to Nizamuddin, the board is waiting for the government order (GO).
