Kalabagan raze Hillol
Kalabagan clinched their second win in the Women's Premier Division Cricket League as they comfortably beat Hillol Jubo Sangha by eight wickets in the BKSP at Savar yesterday.
After electing to bat first, Hillol were in all sorts of trouble and kept losing wickets in clusters. Tanjila Akhter Mou scored a team-high 20 for Hillol but apart from that it was a sorry display from the other batters as they managed to add just another 12 runs to the total.
None of the team's other batsman were able to reach the double figures and departed soon after facing some controlled bowling by Panna Ghosh and Shaila Sharmin, both of whom bagged three wickets each.
In reply, Kalabagan lost just two wickets and chased the target down in 7.1 overs with Shaila Sharmin unbeaten on 14.
After losing all three games in the league so far, Hillol will have to display far better cricket to make a comeback in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the other match of the day between Mohammedan Sporting and BKSP was abandoned due to rain.
