Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) released the full fixture of the Walton Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, which will start from February 5. However, only the teams and the dates of the matches have been mentioned, but not the venues.
Keeping a reserve day for each match, the schedule has been given till the eleventh and last round with a note that the allocation of venues for the matches will be circulated in due course.
When contacted, Amin Khan, coordinator of the league, explained over telephone last night that: “BCB might release the fixtures to comply with our CCDM (Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis) chairman's [Inam Ahmed's] commitment of providing the full schedule rather than a partial one. But we will provide the fixtures with the venues by February 3.”
Khan also added that initially the matches will be held in three venues -- Fatullah Cricket Stadium, BKSP-3 and BKSP-4 -- and after completion of the home series against Sri Lanka the matches will also held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The participating clubs are Gazi Group Cricketers, Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Abahani, Prime Bank Cricket Club, Mohammedan, Shekih Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Legends of Rupganj, Brothers Union, Kalabagan Krira Chakra, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, Shinepukur Cricket Club and Agrani Bank Cricket Club.
