Pakistan get easy win againt Afghanistan
Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 72 runs in their second match of the Asia Cup at Fatullah Stadium in Narayanganj today.
The Afghan maged to score 176 losing all the wickets in 47.2 overs.
Riding on the centaury Umar Akmal Pakistan scored 248 losing eight wickets in 50 years.
Akmal's century came from just 89 balls, and consisted of seven fours and three sixes.
His century came against the run of the play, as Afghanistan bowlers maintained tight control over the Pakistan batsmen for most of the innings, before losing the plot in the ending overs against Akmal's onslaught.
Dawlat Zadran, Mirwais Ashraf and Samiullah Shenwari claimed two wickets each for Afghanistan.
State-own channel BTV is broadcasting the match live that started from 2:00pm.
Afghanistan’s first appearance in the Asia Cup come after winning four ODIs against associate nations, and they will certainly seek to extend their winning streak further.
Pakistan made one change to their squad from Tuesday, with Bilawal Bhatti making way for Anwar Ali.
