Attack on Nur: DU forms probe body

The Dhaka University authorities today formed a six-member committee to investigate the incident of attack on Ducsu VP Nurul Haque Nur and his followers.

The committee has been formed headed by Arts Faculty dean Prof Abu Md Delwar Hossain.

The other members include Shamsunnahar Hall provost Prof Supriya Saha, Senate members Prof Ashim Sarker and Md Mizanur Rahman, Sir P.J. Hartog International Hall Provost Prof Md Mohiuddin  and Assistant Proctor Prof Md Mainul Karim.

The committee has been asked to submit their report and recommendations within six working days, said press release of Public Relation Office of the university.

“An unwanted and unfortunate incident took place at Ducsu building and Madhur Canteen area at around 12:30 pm on Sunday,” it said adding, the committee has been asked to investigate why and how the incident occurred and who were involved in the incident.
