Plot: An underworld Don Aslam (Anisur Rahman Milon) hires a bodyguard Tibro (Kazi Maruf) to protect the love of his life Sohana (Eamin Haque Bobby). Tibro learns that Sohana is held captive against her will. The story takes turns setting in motion a love and hate triangle, blended with a series of action sequences.
Review: New cinema technologies have been introduced and the catchy background music, songs and camerawork made Dehorokkhi a good watch. However, the plot was nothing out of the ordinary and the leading actors and actresses didn't do a good job. The other characters delivered a convincing performance, especially Don Aslam played by Anisur Rahman Milon. Milon, the protagonist, played the role of a commoner but he played it with certain zeal. Sohana played by Bobby (her second movie) has a lot of improvements to make as an actress. In her previous films, Bobby looked more comfortable playing the role of someone glamorous and sexy; the role of Sohana was rather different than those. Although she appeared to be very introverted in Dehorokkhi, I must admit that watching her play the role of Sohana, it felt like a breath of fresh air compared to the other out-of-shape actresses in the industry. She looked comfortable in all the dance and song numbers. Tibro played by Kazi Maruf, the lead character of the movie should've been stronger and stouter. Tibro's character promised a lot but failed to deliver. At times, it felt like Maruf was completely inept to play such a demanding role. Technically, Dehorokkhi is sound in music, songs, special effects and editing – it was above average than most other local flicks.
