Prof Ghiyas Uddin passes away

Md Ghiyas Uddin, former professor of Sylhet MC College, passed away today. He was 77.

Ghiyas Uddin died at his residence in Sylhet, said a press release of Bangabhaban.

His son, Imranul Hasan, serves as President Abdul Hamid's assistant press secretary.

President Md Abdul Hamid expressed deep condolence at the demise of Prof Md Ghiyas Uddin. In a condolence message, the president prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
