Local JP leader dies in Noakhali road accident
A local Jatiya Party leader died after his motorcycle collided with a roadside tree in the Sadar upazila of Noakhali this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md Abdul Hamid (52), joint general secretary of Noakhali district unit of JP, reports our local correspondent reports quoting JP Noakhali general secretary Borhan Uddin Mithu.
Shahab Uddin, the cousin of the deceased, said Abdul Hamid was going to a relative's house on a motorcycle. When he reached the Nurupatwary hat area on Sonapur-Alexander Road, Hamid lost control of his motorbike which crashed into a roadside tree.
He was taken to Noakhali General Hospital where doctors declared him dead, added Shahab
Confirming the death of JP leader Abdul Hamid, Noakhali General Hospital Resident Medical Officer (RMO) Syed Anwarul Azim said he died of excessive bleeding due to injuries on the back of the head.
Md Anwarul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sudharam Police Station said he has heard about this and looking into the matter.
