Eleven people were killed and one was injured as a truck crushed a three-wheel passenger van at Saitrish on the Magura-Jhenidah highway yesterday.
The victims were passengers of the three-wheeler.
The goods-laden truck around 4:15pm rammed into the three-wheeler, which was standing on the roadside, and fell in a ditch, said a witness, Zafar Sheikh of village Saitrish. The accident left 11 passengers of the three-wheeler dead on the spot.
