Moha Rash Lila, the main religious festival of the indigenous Monipuri community, ended yesterday morning.
Thousands of people irrespective of religion and caste attended the 24-hour-long religious and cultural programmes on the occasion of 165th Rash Lila festival in Madhabpur and Adampur under Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district.
Two factions of Monipuri Hindu community -- Monipuri 'Meithei' and Monipuri 'Vishnupuria' arranged the festivals at Monipur jura mondaps (temples) at Adampur and Madahbpur.
The programme included 'cowboy dance' of Sri Krishna, dance of Srimoti Radha, Kirtana, discussion on Rash Lila of Sri Krishna and other traditional cultural shows of the community.
Attractive village fairs were also held in Adampur and Madhabpur where different handicraft items, household things and toys were brought for sale.
Law enforcers took adequate security measures on the occasion.
