Six people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,160 and the death rate stands at 1.48 percent. With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 19,76,787.

At least 1,105 new Covid-19 cases were recorded during the period.

The current positivity rate is 13.22 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.76 percent, said the release.

A total of 8,357 samples were tested across the country during this period.

At least 233 patients have recovered from within this time. The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,07,990 and the recovery rate at 96.52 percent, said the release.

Among the deceased, three were men and three were women.

Of them, one was between 11-20, two between 31-40, one between 51-60, one between 61-70  and another was 71-80 years old, added the release.
