‘Deshantor’ actress Rodela Tapur to receive special debutant award
Young actress Rodela Tapur, made her debut in the film, "Deshantor". Now, the actress will be receiving a special award at the 'Bangladesh Cultural Reporters Association: Bijoy Shommanona 2022' programme. The award ceremony will take place on Friday, at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital's Segunbagicha area.
Tapur is the daughter of actress Golam Farida Chhonda—who has been working in showbiz for over two decades now. Her father, Satirtha Rahman, has etched his name as a noted TV series director.
Earlier on, the actress worked as a child artiste in a variety of TV series. Growing up, Tapur was greatly influenced by her mother's acting and her father's direction on TV. She received a lot of love and support from her parents when she got the offer from 'Deshantor'."
"I want to pursue a career in both acting and directing, as it is something close to my heart. Let's see what the future has in store for me," said Tapur in an interview with The Daily Star.
"Deshantor" has been directed by Ashutosh Sujan and was released in theatres on November 11. In the film, Rodela stars alongside Yash Rohan.
