Digital Content Launching of upcoming film “Zero Degree” by Animesh Aich was held at Hotel Sonargaon on Thursday.

Members of the “Zero Degree” team, including its director and performers Animesh Aich, Mahfuz Ahmed, Jaya Ahsan, Samina Chowdhury, Prince Mahmud, Nancy, Moumita, Jaib and Shoyeb were present at the event marking the occasion. The programme was conducted by model-actress Nowshin.

Sharing his working experience of the project, producer and actor Mahfuzsaid “It's in no way a television drama; fairly, we have given out our best to make it a total movie”. Jaya said “At times it felt like I am doing something I have never done before in my life. It's not something we see everyday coming out of the run-of-the-mill film. It is, indeed, something out of the box.”

Director Animesh Aich, also the songwriter of two of the tracks in his film, called for a change to be brought out in the film context of Bangladesh. The trend has already begun, he said.

The six tracks in the film have been sung by James, Samina Chowdhury, Nancy, Audit, Probar Ripon, Prithwiraj and Sandhi. It also has two popular Rabindra-Sangeet numbers, one track by Bhupen Hajarika and another one inspired by poet Jibananda Das. Emnon Saha has done the scores.

“Zero Degree” is a saga of love, treason and vengeance. Besides Mahfuz Ahmed, Jaya Ahsan and Dilruba Yasmin Ruhi in the lead roles, Telesamad, Tariq Anam Khan, Iresh Zaker, debutant Jaib and Mir Rabby also play various roles.
