Teacher's death a mystery

A missing primary schoolteacher was found dead in Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj on Tuesday.

Police recovered a list of names of 10 people, from whom the victim took Tk 9.2 lakh loan, from his pocket.

Police suspect that he committed suicide as he failed to pay the loan money.

Informed by locals, police recovered his hanging body from a bridge in the area on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was Md Nazrul Islam Babul, 55, a teacher of Government Mokorkola Primary School in the upazila. He hailed from Nolsonda village in Ullapara upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Shahzadpur Police Station Khaza Golam Kibria said Nazrul went missing after he came out of the school on Sunday afternoon.

They are investigating the incident, said the OC.

An unnatural death case was filed in this connection, he said.

On the other hand, family members said Nazrul was killed in a planned way as he had no financial crisis so far they know.
