Road crashes kill 6 in Habiganj, Gazipur

Six people were killed in two separate road accidents in Habiganj and Gazipur today.

In Gazipur, three were killed as microbus hit a stationed truck in Hotapara area on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 11:00am, Sub-inspector Nazmul Haque, in-charge of Hotapara Police Outpost, told our correspondent.

The deceased were identified as Rubel Hosen, driver of the microbus, and  its passengers Asaduzzaman and Faridul Haque. They are all employees of ACI group.

In Habiganj, three were killed and six injured when a Habiganj-bound bus from Sylhet fell into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Nabiganj upazila around 10:30am, UNB reports quoting Bimal Chandra Bhoumik, officer-in-charge of Nabiganj Highway police camp.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The injured were taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
