The duo had an altercation over the issue on Tuesday morning and at one stage Shahed chopped Helal with a machete and killed him on the spot before dumping the body with the help of Mintu.
Meanwhile, a Tangail court sent Mintu and Jarina to jail while it placed Shahed on a three-day remand when police produced the arrestees before it yesterday.
