2 JMB suspects arrested with gun, bullets in Dinajpur
Police arrested two suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from the town early yesterday.
They also seized a shotgun, seven bullets, 400gm of explosives, bomb making materials and two sharp weapons from their possession.
The arrestees are Mozahidur Rahman, 22, son of Lutfar Rahman of Bagdor Purbapara village, and Abu Nayeem, 20, son of Golam Mostafa of Paushpara village, in Hakimpur upazila.
Bazlur Rashid, inspector of Sadar Police Station, said on secret information, a police team raided Balubari area and arrested the two with the firearm, bullets and explosives when they were planning to carry out subversive activities in the district.
A case was filed, accusing the duo, said the inspector.
The arrestees were sent to a court that sent them to jail, he said.
