Govt to set up 100-bed cancer hospitals in all divisions
The government has decided to establish 100-bed cancer hospitals in association with its other hospitals in all divisions except Dhaka with the cost of Tk 2388.40 crore.
The decision was approved at meeting of the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (Ecnec) today held at the NEC Conference Room in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area.
Planning Minister MA Mannan informed journalists after the meeting, which was chaired by Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The minister also said a total of eight projects, including the cancer hospital, were approved with an overall estimated cost of Tk 8,968.08 crore.
“Of the total project cost, Taka 8,952.89 crore will come from the Government of Bangladesh and the rest from inner income of the intuitions,” he said.
