Police arrested five suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in different areas of Atrai upazila in Naogaon early today.

Tipped-off, several teams of police conducted drives in different areas of the upazila and arrested the five suspected JMB militants around 4:00am, said Mobarak Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Atrai Police Station.

The law enforcers also recovered two foreign-made pistols, 13 bullets and huge explosives from their possession, he added.
