2 ‘JMB men’ held in Dhaka
Rapid Action Battalion has claimed arrest of two alleged activists of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Dhaka’s Sabujbagh and Wari areas yesterday.
Arrestees Giyas Uddin, 34, and Md Liton, 34, are members of the Sarwar-Tamim group of JMB, said Kamrul Hasan, commanding officer of Rab-11.
They were shown arrested in a case filed with Rupnagar Police Station, he said.
Giyas worked as a cook and also a rickshaw puller, while Md Liton used to work at a restaurant, the Rab official claimed.
