Undertake awareness campaign on dengue
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary yesterday directed all police units to undertake awareness programme on dengue fever.
“If we all remain alert and keep our homes and surroundings clean then Aedes mosquitoes will not be able to breed,” said the police chief, while addressing officials via an emergency video-conference with all metropolitan commissioners, range DIGs and police superintendents across the country.
The IGP asked all officials to keep police compounds and nearby areas clean and generate awareness among people on the disease, according to a press release of police headquarters (PHQ).
He asked all police units to distribute anti-dengue leaflets prepared by the police headquarters and continue the special awareness programme until the menace ends.
Police officials are conducting cleaning drives and distributing leaflets to generate awareness among people.
