Celebrate Durga Puja without fear

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday said members of law enforcement agencies are destroying militant dens one after another as people of the country do not offer them shelter.

The minister said this after visiting Ramna Kali Mandir puja mandap in Dhaka, on the occasion of the ongoing Durga Puja.

He said there is no safe shelter for militants in the country. Their latest den in Narsingdi was also demolished with two female militants surrendering to police.

Encouraging the Hindu community to celebrate puja without any fear, he said, “You have nothing to fear as people and the administration are beside you.”

Senior police officials and leaders of the Hindu community were also present.
