On December 14, BFUJ and DUJ announced a two-day protest programmes if Dr Kamal Hossain does not apologise publicly for his remarks about media workers.
DFUJ and DUJ leaders said Dr Kamal threatened reporters when he was asked to clarify his position on Jamaat-e-Islami at a programme on Martyred Intellectuals Day.
The journalist leaders said Dr Kamal misbehaved with media workers, asking them to “shut up”.
They described his behaviour as “unacceptable”.
