Fire at Nayapaltan market doused

A fire that broke out at City Heart Shopping Complex in Dhaka's Nayapaltan area this morning was doused after nearly two hours of frantic efforts.

On information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 10:20am, Rasel Shikder, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, today told The Daily Star.

The fire broke out around 7:40am on the second floor of the market.

No injury was reported from the incident.
