Bus helper held with 3,800 yaba pills

Detectives have arrested a bus helper along with 3,800 pieces of contraband yaba pills at Firingi Bazar area of Chattogram city.

The arrestee was identified as Md Al Amin, 19, son of Lebu Mia from Manikganj, was a bus helper of Hanif Paribahan, reports our Chattogram University (CU) correspondent quoting police.

“A team of Detective Branch of Police intercepted a Chattogram-bound bus of Hanif Paribahan last night around 10:00pm in front of Baitul Ridwan Masjid in the area under Kotwali Police Station and recovered the yaba pills after searching the bus,” said Asif Mohiuddin, senior assistant police commissioner (Bandar).  

“Bus helper Al Amin was held in this connection,” he said.

“In primary interrogation, Al Amin confessed that he took the yaba pills from a peddler to reach those pills to Dhaka in exchange of money,” the police official also said.

A case was filed with Kotwali Police Station in this connection, he added.
