Letters from readers – September 7, 2023

Dear Campus,
After having lived in the same country for 19 years of my life, being whisked away to Singapore with nothing but two suitcases worth of my belongings was very daunting at first. And with my exchange programs taking me to France and Sydney as well, it meant acclimatising and readjusting to a new culture every other semester. But with the help of my new friends (and my old ones through video call), I was able to make the most of my time abroad. I studied and travelled to so many different corners of the world. And while my university life is over, I hope it's only just the beginning of my life's story.
Response:
Dear Ajrin,
Broadening your horizons during your undergraduate years can be a crucial, albeit difficult, part of the journey, especially when it involves leaving your old life behind to pursue your education abroad. It can be a lonesome journey, but having friends along the way definitely helps. We hope that your undergrad years have been rewarding while preparing you for your future. Best of luck,
