Sajida Foundation partners with Thrive to feed school-children
Sajida Foundation, in partnership with Thrive, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to delivering healthy food to hungry children, announced a partnership to provide food to nearly 400 students in three schools.
The meals are being distributed to the schoolchildren of Apon Alo School (Rayer Bazar, Dhaka); Jaago School (Habiganj, Sylhet); and Ucchash School (SonPocha Char River Island, Bogra) from May 9 until August 31, said a press release.
"Healthy meals give children the fuel they need to learn and succeed in their education," said Muhymin Chowdhury, director of challenge fund, partnerships and communications, of Sajida Foundation.
Thrive has been delivering meals to schools since its inception 10 years ago and has served these three schools for more than four years.
"The foundation's donation will ensure a healthy meal for these children on every school day for four months," said Priscila Heffelfinger, co-founder of Thrive.
