Grameenphone lifts toll on calls from Bangladesh to Turkey, Syria

Grameenphone today made all calls from Bangladesh to Turkey and Syria toll-free until February 15 to facilitate communication of the people with their loved ones caught up in the devastating earthquake.

The leading telecom operator has taken the decision to stand beside the people and the community as anxious family and friends attempt to speak to their relatives living in Turkey and Syria, said an official of Grameenphone.

More than 29,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands injured after the earthquake struck Turkey and Syria on Monday.
