Natyadhara to stage ‘Charlie’

Inspired by the life of the iconic comic actor Charlie Chaplin, theatre troupe Natyadhara is scheduled to stage a play titled ‘Charlie’. It will take place at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Friday at 7 pm.

The play depicts the lead character, Charlie’s philosophies to tackle the existential dread of a life in which he shares happiness and laughter with people, yet suffers from an underlying darkness that lurks beneath the joy on display. Written and directed by Litu Sakhawat, the play stars Litu Sakhawat, Dipannita Iti, Nasir Uddin Bhuiyan, Sabyasachi Chanchal, Kamal Hossain, Rafiqul Islam, Gazi Rahisul Islam and Hafsa Akhter, among others.
